Brendan
J. Thorpe specializes in real estate transactions.
He represents clients in acquiring and developing real
estate, in commercial leasing, in environmental and
land use issues and in all the transactional matters
that arise from land use as well as in the formation
and structure of the partnerships, limited liability
company's and entities which own and manages real estate.
His background includes the representation of clients
in court in multi-million dollar real estate fraud
lawsuits, environmental, construction and commercial
leasing disputes.
Mr. Thorpe is the co-author of “Court Clarifies
Accountants' Authority in Partnership Dissolution” in
the October 2001 issue of California CPA. He has also
lectured to attorneys, “Drafting a Bullet Proof
Covenant Not to Compete,” Continuing Education
of the Bar, Berkeley, California, January 2003; and “Alternative
Dispute Resolution,” Continuing Education of the Bar California (CEB),
Newport Beach, California, March 2006.
Mr. Thorpe is a member of the real estate sections
of the California and Los Angeles Bar Associations,
a former president of the Irish-American Bar Association
and a former member of the Board of Governors of the
Loyola Law School Alumni Association. He is an AV rated
lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell.
